Made Mangku Pastika and AA Ngurah Puspayoga were appointed as the province’s new governor and deputy governor 2008. The determination was taken in the Plenary Session of KPUD Bali, on last Wednesday (16/7).

Results of the recapitulation of the voice of Pilkada Bali, Made Mangku Pastika-Puspayoga won with the voice 1,087,910 (55.01%), Cokorda Budi Suryawan-Suweta 527,861 voices (26.74%) and Winasa-Alit Putra 360,724 voices (18.25%).

Marking the climax of a remarkably peaceful campaign, the losing candidates quickly acknowledged the wide margin of popularity demonstrated by the winners and graciously conceded defeat.
